Windies draw level

The visitors recorded their first win of the tour and have kept the ODI series alive through a magnificent innings from Shai Hope. The 'keeper-batsman opened the innings and carried his bat through and in the process recorded his career-best score - 146. There was not much help from the other end as Hope scored 57% of Windies' runs. The other batsmen only made it difficult for him by consuming deliveries and shooting the required rate up. But Hope kept his calm, like he did in the tied ODI against India, took the game deep and won it with some sensible cricket.

Bangladesh will rue the finish with the bat. After the platform set by Tamim and Rahim, the middle order could not capitalize and hence they were about par at the halfway mark. However, the bowlers did a fine job of taking the game till the end, they were in it until the 49th over, when the Fizz conceded 16 runs to tilt the game other way round. Mortaza opted for a surprise option - Mahmudullah - to defend 6 off the final over and that didn't pay off.

Hope for Windies

How good is he? 3rd ODI hundred for Shai Hope and he's continuing his good for of late, and how! Not much celebration. He knows Windies need 61 off 54 balls.

Mortaza wins the battle of skippers, again

For the second time in as many games, Mortaza has had the better of Rovman Powell. He goes for a big hit soon after his arrival and miscues it to mid-on. Windies sink further at 157 for 5.

Six and Out

Rubel Hossain removes the dangerous Shimron Hetmyer after being hit for a six. The left-hander seemed to be in a rush to get on with things and departed top edging a short ball, for a 10-ball 14.

Samuels gone

Mustafizur strikes. Ultra-edge confirms the outside edge and perishes on 26. So we have to wait till he gets past the twenties...

Fifty for Shai Hope

Gets to 8th ODI fifty off 67 balls and maintains his good run of late. He has Marlon Samuels for company right now, and with Shimron Hetmyer to follow, this chase could be interesting.

Bravo goes

Bowled around his legs. Shuffles across and fails to connect the flick after getting off to a start? How damaging is this going to be? Rubel Hossain is over the moon.

Hemraj falls

Two spinners to open the attack at either end for Bangladesh and we have an early wicket already. Chandrapaul Hemraj, who replaced Kieran Powell in the side, departs to Mehidy Hasan in latter's first over. Is pinned in front by a slider.

Weak finish delivers Bangladesh to 255

Windies lacked the wits to dominate crucial phases of play, meaning Bangladesh could find a way to 255/7- in the first innings of the second ODI in Dhaka. Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan - all playing their 100th ODI along with Mahmudullah - scored fifties but Oshane Thomas's pace and ill-timed wickets towards the end offset Windies's lack of imagination, ensuring that Bangladesh didn't get too far ahead.
